don't jump! {151/365}

The bench nearly broke.

I couldn't get the focus right with the jumps.

I found out my lawn is ridden with ants.

But all in all, a successful *Bench Monday :)

(and only ONE eye-roll when I asked for some modelling help. ha!)

***Bench Monday Rules:

  1. Stand on a bench. Make sure it's Monday. Wear something pretty.
  2. Only pictures added to the group on the day called Monday will be accepted. However, pictures do not actually have to be TAKEN on Monday.
  3. Extra points for live props. Double points for chickens :)

vrooooom ... {150/365}

The open road, the wind in your hair,

the flies in your teeth ...

150/365

*sigh*

I love summer :)

Not my bike.  And I really wish I could've put on my bossy pants and got those bikes lined up all nice and pretty, but ... ummmm ... no.

I do like my teeth, flies or no.

Quack! {149/365}

How do you spend a gorgeous summer day in small town anywhere?

Well, first you get yourself one of these ...

duckrace!

And make sure it's big enough to hoist up a truckton of these ...

duckrace!

And then ...

duckrace!

Wooot!!!  Race ON!

duckrace!

There'll be a few stragglers, but the kids have that under control ...

duckrace!

They'll herd them up ...

duckrace!

and send them on their way ...

duckrace!

There'll inevitably be a showoff in the group to take the lead ...

duckrace!

But at the end of the day, there can only be one winner ...

duckrace!

(somebody won a thousand bucks, but it sure as hell wasn't me)

Can you guess which one is my shot for the day?

And how was YOUR Saturday? :)

clematis {148/365}

I have four clematis vines around my place, all in varying shades of purple, but I think this one is my favourite.  It's so bright and vibrant, it's almost fuschia.

148/365

Shot in evening light (the best!) because I looked for something interesting to shoot all day today, and came up empty.

It's one of those days.

crazy is as crazy does {147/365}

If there's one thing I'll swear by, it's Full Moon = Craziness.

People generally begin to lose their minds during the few days leading up to the full moon. Emotions run high and you're more likely to knock heads with someone. The night of? You're better off staying at home. Trust me. I was a bartender for years. I have stories.

Utter. Chaos.

Plus, you know ... there's that whole werewolf thing to worry about.

Anyways ....

I shot this at around 1:15am, so it's technically my shot for the day. Way early :)

147/365

I've tried (in vain) quite a few times to get a shot of the moon. But this time, and thanks to this little project, I'm a little bit (a very little bit) more knowledgeable in the manual settings area. I don't think it turned out half bad. Definitely scads of room for improvement, but hey, I've progressed from a mere blob of white. heh.

I'm off to check my garlic supply.

Oh wait. That's vampires.

Silver bullets :)
