I took daughter and her friend back to school shopping tonight, and the girls just had to try this out ...

That sucker gets up to almost 80mph.

I have shots of that, but they're pretty much a blurry mess of blonde, flying hair.

And I swear, they were NOT posing for this. How funny is that? Dorks.

On a side note, I hesitated to post this in light of what's going on, weather-wise. Hurricane's are serious business. This? just a bit of fun.

(honestly, these days you never know what people are going to get all twisty about)

This week's Sunday Creative word prompt is "illuminate". I immediately had a ton of ideas. Honestly, I think I could do an entire week's worth of shots around "illuminate".

I still might. heh.

(well, maybe not a week's worth)

(that might be a little much)

But then tonight, unplanned, spur of the moment and a total accident ...

illuminate vb. 1. To supply or brighten with light: light up

And there you have it.

(holy crap, posting the SC on an actual Sunday ... go me)

And it should also be said that both subjects in this shot have me totally wrapped around their little fingers.

errr ... paws.

Whatever.

This week's Sunday Creative prompt is 'orient' and I went with this ...

v.tr.
4. To determine the bearings of.

At first, I had that thumbtack stuck directly on my little town.

And then I figured I might as well publish my address and telephone number while I was at it.

Right?

Duh.

Still, Toronto is close enough. And I did keep the shot with my town. I like it :)

A lot of directions (no pun intended - honest) this word prompt could have taken and as usual I'm last minute girl, so this is what I'm going with. I didn't want to miss the party twice in a row, misjudging time zones.

I may (or may not) (probably not) be back later with something else :)
