Well. What a mixed bag of reactions last week’s prompt produced. I think our flickr pool hit an all-time low for submissions for the week. I’m hoping that’s simply a case of the summer busy’s.
I was happy to see some of you rise to the challenge though and overcome whatever fears or nervousness you might have had. Admittedly, it is a whole other world and although I love street photography, I realize that it’s not everybody’s cup of tea. But isn’t that what this project is all about? Stretching your creative muscles? If you find yourself sticking with the same things, staying in your comfort zone … well, you can’t get very far that way, can you? Step outside of your box and chances are you learn something new.
Anyway, this week (week 30! wow) I’ll cut you guys some slack.
Hey, it’s summer! We all love to capture the beauty in bloom all around us, so I’m making it official. This week you can relax, sit back, and capture the pretty. This would also be a great opportunity to practice your macro skills if you’re so inclined.
Whatever you decide to do for week thirty, follow the prompt or no, come back here and link up your work when you’re done (weeks run Sunday to Saturday, don’t forget!). Links must be to the direct URL of your actual work, not just to the site it’s posted in, and may be a link to your blog post or to your flickr photo (again, the actual photo, not your entire flickr stream). Also, please don’t link and run – try to find some time to visit at least a few of your fellow 52′ers. That’s half the fun! It’s a fact that those who link up early, get the most interaction on their work. Truth.
And don’t forget the flickr pool!
Have a great week!
