Day two, hanging out with the Mortal Muses and today's prompt is "lights".

Every Christmas, the Kinsmen Club lights up a park here in my town. Every tree, shrub, fence ... every single inch of it is strung with lights. It's quite a sight and one of my favourite places to visit. It's pretty magical.

So I was down there taking shots for todays prompt and soaking up the magic, thoroughly enjoying myself,

when this pulled up ...

How AWESOME is that? I couldn't wipe the grin off my face.

Classic.

Some people are just steeped in holiday spirit :)

18 Days of Holiday Prompts and Daily Giveaways

The Holiday fun kicks off today with the first prompt, 'giving'.

I'm not going to get all preachy and tell you that giving should be a year 'round thing. You know it should. But I'd love it if, at this time of year while you're out and about buying all of your special gifts, mixing up your fun Christmas drinks, and enjoying the abundance of food that is everywhere you look (don't look at my waistline, thanks) you keep in mind the countless families and those all alone who are not enjoying the same type of holiday that you might be. And give a little more.

Head on over to the Mortal Muses and join in for 18 days of Holiday Inspiration. I can't promise you'll see all eighteen days here, seeing as how I haven't even started my shopping yet (shush) but I'm going to try my best.

We're buried!!!

You know, it's been kind of touch and go this year with the snow. Get a little, it melts, get some more, it sorta melts ...

Winter came in with a bang this weekend and it's been snowing ever since.

I hope you've all enjoyed your weekend.

Me? I've been busy behind the scenes here, working on the new layout while listening to Christmas music and watching the snow pile up outside. Perfect day to be indoors and warm :)

I'm hoping to install everything tonight, so if you pop by and the place is a mess, check back later.

And cross your fingers that I haven't blown it up. heh.

Edit 12:50am - Well, I didn't blow anything up, but I'd like to. Or maybe just my server. Slight problem in moving files over to here, which I really hope they'll get straightened out shortly. In the meantime, I'm going to bed ... *yawn.
