BBQ chicken pizza {74/365}

Husband turned me onto this BBQ chicken pizza a few months back.  The first one was to die for.  Loved it.  Then we ordered again, and it was pretty saucy and ick, but still relatively good (even if you did sorta have to search for the actual CHICKEN, cheapskate pizza place).

And then he told me how much one pizza cost.

And I almost fainted.  heh.

So I thought to myself, I can make that (‘course I did, I have issues) and tonight I gave it a shot.

Now, I don’t know the first thing about pizza dough and I wasn’t willing to jump in with both feet here, so I bought a bag of dough from the local grocery and figured I was fine.

OMG!!!  Somebody should’ve warned me how HARD this stuff is to work with!!!

No lie, it took me about a half hour to get that ball of dough onto the pan, resembling a bit of a pizza shape.  A strange pizza shape, but whatever.  I totally should’ve taken a shot of that.  Or a shot of myself wrestling with the damn thing.

I was sweating.  Honestly.  yeeesh.

Anyways …

No recipe, but here’s what I did.

sunday in the rain {73/365}

… and snow, and sleet, and rain again.

Mother Nature is in menopause.  That’s the best explanation I have for global warming.

73/365

I didn’t venture very far today.

survival {72/365}

It sure doesn’t look as though this was taken today, does it?  But since it’s been mild and raining for the past few days, a pile of these have been showing up on my back deck, blowing around and trying to come in the house.

I must not have raked all that well last Fall!  They survived the winter and look perfect :)

72/365

I was trying really hard to catch a drop hitting the ground but no dice.  I had continuous shooting switched on in the hopes I’d get it, and omg does that rack up the shots really fast!  Still couldn’t manage to catch one.  Sitting down cross-legged in my back doorway, snapping away, I briefly contemplated laying down flat to get a great perspective.

I think that the sight of me laying in my doorway, half in the house, half out, just may be too much for my neighbours to take though :)

And for the record?  … it’s now snowing again. Ugh.

foggy day {71/365}

Everything looks so other-worldly in the fog.  I couldn’t resist making it even more so …

71/365

Black and white is here.  The original is not that pretty so it went in the trash.  Everything is melting around here (yay!) but that makes the ground a soggy mess and the melting snow has a layer of dirt on top of it.  Nasty.  Best remembered in prettier tones.  Honest :)

(and let’s not forget all the little doggy ‘presents’ I narrowly missed stepping in … lovely)

Here’s another one from today.

lonely tree

As usual, I can never decide which shot to pick, although I think I prefer the brightness of this one.

rusted {70/365}

I’m always fascinated with these huge silos …

70/365

Doesn’t that little silver one almost look like a child’s little toy?  It’s quite huge, as is the barn, but everything looks dwarfed beside that hulking mass of concrete.

I love the rust stains :)

I also love the melting snow!  YAY!
