Look what I got today!

You know Christmas is around the corner when *Timmie's starts serving up your morning coffee in their Christmas cups :)

(and I just now noticed that I put the french side forward .. no matter! Joyeux Noel!)

I need to make some lists.  I am notoriously last minute when it comes to Christmas shopping. No matter how hard I try, or what I promise myself, I'm always the nutbar running around the week before Christmas searching for things that have already been bought up by the normal people who shop in a responsible manner.

I know a few people like that.

What's wrong with you guys?

Anyways, I've come to the conclusion that last minute shopping is an integral part of my Christmas, essential to the well-being of my Christmas spirit.

Essential.

Stop laughing.

mother's day {129/365}

I had a whole post written up here.

And then I hit delete.

Long story short?  Mother's Day is hard these days.

But this?  This girl?  She takes all of that away ...

Since she was around 5 years old, she's been able to do that. It used to freak people out when she was younger. Nobody taught her, she just did it.  She'd swing all the way to the end, flip around and head back the other way like it was nothing.  My monkey :)

chocolate high {96/365}

Or is it a chocolate crash?

I dunno.

I DO know that I've probably gained 10 lbs since this time last week.

And my stash is dwindling ...

This photo of the day is supposed to be of daughter getting a shot to the arm. Literally. Her school records are wrong though and when we got to the doctor's office, it turns out she didn't need one.  So no photo-op (shot! ha! get it? *ahem*) there.  And no school suspension.  Idjits.

Nor did I manage to get a shot (or even think of it) of her thrilled face upon receiving that little tidbit of info.  She is very pleased.  heh.

Nor did I remember to put batteries into the little point and shoot that I oh so smartly brought along with me so as to not freak out my girl by pulling out the big guns.  Trying to be incognito doesn't work out so well without batteries.

So ...

I came home and snapped chocolate easter eggs.

Makes sense to me :)
