happy! {140/365}

The woman who stole my life awesome Pioneer Woman, Ree Drummond, has posted another photo assignment.  This time, the subject is "happiness".

I knew immediately, which photo I wanted to use ...

happy!

I took this back in 2007, and normally I try to get out and take an original shot for Ree's assignments (most people don't and I just don't get that .. assignment shouldn't mean just digging through your archives, right?) but I honestly couldn't resist this.  Had to do it.  So I'm joining in with the cheaterweaters.

And if nothing else comes along, it's also going to be my 365 for today because hell, I spent over an hour processing the darn thing. So there.

(yeesh, cheating going on all over the place here)

Here's the original. SOOC (straight out of camera) with full-on auto settings used. Oy! I've come so far!!!

IMG_2694

(auto settings are the devil)

So see?  You really don't need some fantastic type of camera.  You NEED photoshop.  LOL ...

(and stay off the auto settings!)

I have over twenty of these sprinkler shots, and some really fantastic ones of the girls jumping through the water, all three of them at once and they look about 10 feet in the air,  but I figured if I was going to slap them up all over the interwebz, I should at least use the one of them crouching down. heh.

(I'm pretty sure my daughter is going to kill me for this anyways)

(it's been real nice knowing you)

If you have a moment, you should head on over to Ree's site and check out the entries.  There are some fabulously heart-warming shots for this assignment.  I have to admit that a few of them really tugged at the ol' heart strings. *sniff*  Go have a look.

adorable {108/365}

I've been sitting here processing photos of my neighbour's daughter for a couple of hours now.

And grinning the entire time.

That girl is such a cutie and the expressions on her little face just kill me.

That would be her looking at my camera quite intently.

You see why I've been grinning?

I still have quite a bit to go through, but here's another little peak ...
